ONE was debuted under YG Entertainment on 11th July 2017. People are excited with his comeback, as YG Entertainment hasn’t debuted a male soloist (which is not from a boy group) for 14 years.

One of the songs in his single album is “Gettin’ By”. This song is written by himself, composed by himself, iHwak, and Cha Cha Malone, then arranged by Cha Cha Malone. This song is very chill and has a calm vibe that makes anyone who listens to this being relaxed. His distinctive voice really suits this kind of song. I think it will always be one of my go-to songs when I want to take a time for myself in a crowded area like in a public transportation (lol!).

Although the music is very calm, the lyric may or may not be calm for some people. This song is about a guy that contacts his ex and asking how she’s doing. We might think it will be a sweet song about a love that blooming again. But, no.

This guy just simply texts or calls his ex without any intention to get back together – although he thinks about the time when they were together and may have something to say. In the end, he decides not to do anything and conversely says he’s getting by now.

SO, don’t be overthinking about a message from your ex (or from someone specific). It can be just a message. It can be just a call. It’s alright – geunyang geurae! Really get a lesson here!
